SEAC (Ret.) John Wayne Troxell to bring Legendary Leadership Skills to HunterSeven Board of Directors

KANSAS CITY, K.S., September 17, 2024 – – The HunterSeven Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of SEAC (Retired) John Wayne Troxell, a distinguished veteran with nearly four decades of service in the United States Army, to its Board of Directors. Troxell’s unparalleled leadership and commitment to the well-being of U.S. service members will be instrumental in furthering the Foundation’s mission to enhance the health outcomes of veterans.

John Wayne Troxell retired as the third Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (SEAC), the most senior enlisted position in the U.S. Armed Forces. Throughout his storied career, Troxell was the principal advisor to the Chairman and Secretary of Defense on all matters related to the readiness, fitness, and welfare of the U.S. Armed Forces. With five combat tours in Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, and more, Troxell has dedicated his life to serving his country and supporting his fellow service members.

His military education includes elite training such as Ranger, Airborne, and Pathfinder schools, and he holds a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in strategic leadership from Trident University. His civilian work continues his passion for service, having founded PME Hard Consulting, LLC, and serving as an ambassador for various organizations that support veterans.

“HunterSeven is excited to welcome Troxell’s experience and leadership to the board. His insight into veteran issues, combined with his dedication to the health and welfare of those who served, aligns with the Foundation’s vision. “Having someone like SEAC Troxell on our team is invaluable,” said HunterSeven co-founder Chelsey Simoni. “His lifetime of service and continued work supporting veterans brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will undoubtedly help us reach more veterans in need, and at the same time, will show those who serve that true leaders DO care about their well-being.”

Troxell’s addition to the board strengthens the Foundation’s resolve to address the unique health concerns faced by post-9/11 veterans, including toxic exposures and cancers. As a board member, Troxell will help shape the Foundation’s strategic direction and advocate for policies that improve access to healthcare for veterans across the nation.

Troxell and his wife of 40 years, Sandra, currently reside in Lakewood, Washington. They have three adult sons and four grandchildren. Since his military retirement, Troxell has opened his consulting firm, and is the author of his memoir titled: Surrender or Die! Reflections of a Combat Leader. He also serves as a strategic advisor and brand ambassador for BeaverFIT USA, Muscle Mac, Eyewear Safety Systems (ESS) and as the Senior Advisor to the CEO of the University of Health and Performance – amongst many others.
